I love the shit out of the Tour de France in particular (which is on right now) and although my guts and heart will always be with Lance Armstrong, my excited girl self is thrilled about Andy and Frank Schleck (from Luxembourg). Which means that although I am currently just a tad devastated that Lance has had such rotten miserable luck with the Tour–I’m an excited screaming pigtailed little girl that Andy Schleck just took over the yellow jersey.

Also–this post made my heart stop in a very good way. And reminds me of this post of mine–and makes me wonder if Latin@s *do* have a history of biking out there somewhere and we’ve just never heard of it before?

The tour is like a long lost friend of mine–when it comes back to stay the summer, I always get a little giddy.

The greatest thing so far: the coverage that I am watching is talking about Lance Armstrong–but not talking ONLY about him. I hate it when u.s. announcers totally focus on U.S. interests–as if a sport is only interesting in so far as U.S. has good chances. Because the sport itself couldn’t be interesting. Nobody could possibly just *love* biking.
