It was our anniversary last weekend. A much loved friend took the kids and then W* and I went for long walks together. We spent most of our time on Belle Isle–admiring the botanical gardens and watching the water roll to shore. It was the most content W* and I have been in a very long time.

I like the cactus. It doesn’t make me itch in sympathy with others.

Your anniversary and your birthday in such quick succession. Many happy returns of both.

I’m glad you had a lovely weekend. It was so nice out. I love seeing the leaves emerging right now.

I love Belle Isle so much. Are the tulips coming in outside yet?

Just wanted to point to this post at Sins Invalid by Nomy Lamm about her experiences at a queer meditation retreat, which has a walking theme and reminded me of this series.

Happy Anniversary and thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures. :)
