It’ll be okay. They’re not all dead. And there’s still sun to work with if you can replant some quick growers.
I’m sorry, though. Like, I want to offer condolences. It’s a loss–I remember how I felt when a freak ice storm wiped out my garden.
Some might make it through. Late season hail/snow/sleet bites. I’m sorry it happened to you and your plants.
We had this really strange 103+ heatwave here so I had to make the seedlings got some more water when they got thirsty. But the Gulf Fritterly butterflies are laying their eggs on the vine. Little yellow dots that turn brown before hatching into fuzzy caterpillars with huge teeth.
Gardening’s really something. Lots of joy. Some heartbreak. But a really interesting journey.
You can never be sure when you plant out that you’re not gonna get a freak frost (or hailstorm), but it’s shite.
You’ll prolly find some of them are okay… (hope so)
As little light says, it’s still only April, you could probably plant some more, fast growers, and even plant them straight out rather than into a propagator…
Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed some of them have made it…

See, this just confirms my fears that sending my baby seedlings out into the world will only end up with their imminent death.
