So I know a *whole* bunch of you have written beautiful posts in response to the (re)thinking walking series. I’ve read most of the ones that I am aware of (from getting links through ping backs or whatever) but of course, being the organized person that I am, I did not take care to organize all those links into one place so that others can see them.
So I’m creating this post so that all those links *can* be collected in one spot. If you have written anything that you feel is connected to the (re)thinking walking series, please post a link in comments and I will either put all the links into this post or create another post with just the links. I know that several people have written posts but not linked here, and I recognize that may be for several reasons, including not wanting the attention or writing something critical–so don’t feel pressured. But if you don’t mind, it’d be great to have your link included!

I’ve actually started two different post drafts based on the series, but haven’t finished either. Hopefully I’ll get around to it soon so I can put it up here.
I will say, though, that I’ve been inspired to walk more because of it, and to think about the responsibility I have to taking care of myself. My thoughts on my walks have lately taken me to a place where I recognize the things I seem to ignore on my blog just because they’re still a bit too personal and hit too close to home. But I’m trying to work through that, or walk through it, if you will.
I love the series and can’t wait to see it grow and develop.

yeah I can pretty much definitely say the (re)thinking walking series & also other things you’ve been writing here, BFP, has had an actual positive impact on my IRL life – I’m not exactly the most emotionally stable person & that aspect of me has been, uh, acting up a lot lately, & the ways I’ve started addressing it & more important the fact that I’ve been addressing it with a feeling of commitment and determination have something to do with what I’ve been reading here. I think once you had a post, maybe after some asshole commented berating you for wanting to take care of yourself & take time off, & I was sitting down to write a comment like “what a tool, self-care is super important because you are important” and it suddenly hit me that if I could say that about you, someone who I do think is pretty great but let’s face it I’ve never even met, that meant it was maybe also true about myself.
uh. sorry that got a little rambling. really I just have been wanting to say thank you, really.

It’s weird Kai, it’s like you’re the only one who wrote something!!!!
You’re going to go on the list all by yourself, if that’s ok?

Wait, there’s no way I can be on the list all by myself! I know there’s other stuff out there. Come on, people, don’t be shy!

“Come on, people, don’t be shy!”
But that’s what I do best!

This included very little actual walking (though I was walking while thinking it, so perhaps that counts).

Here‘s a bit that I wrote in response to Jess’ first walk.
