I’m watching the inauguration here. Not sure I appreciate it yet–might be switching over to CSpan soon–political commentary makes me want to bash my head against sharp spoons.

Chat amongst yourselves while I get this thing figured out!

I’m going to an inauguration-watching at my place of work to get free food. But it’ll be full of people who don’t know me personally or recognize my writing, so I’m taking a print version of something similar to http://kitkatscritique.blogspot.com/2009_01_20_archive.html over to put it in a corner.

    Whoops–colleagues suiting up–better go!

    **sigh**

I heard 2x as much applause after the Star-Spangled Banner than after Rev. Lowery’s benediction.

Which is why I CRIED while listening to Rev. Lowery’s benediction and am starting to cry now.

I do wonder if we ever will manage to achieve the things Rev. Lowery talked about in his benediction.

How can this country turn into a country of people who, as a majority, turn tanks into tractors, and act out of love instead of hate for “different” people, when, in a small sample in an average room, the majority claps more about bombs bursting in air than they do about the idea fo turning tanks into tractors and acting out of love?

What do you think?
