@little light--and you can tell that she's scared shitless. but she's doing it. I've seen so many people say "I could never do that"--well, the thing is that this video I think points out to me more than anything else--there are *multiple* was to speak out, to stand in front of soldiers guns. supporting diverstment movements, searching for non-biased media, demanding the entire story, not resting until you too, can look at the people in back of this woman and see *they're just kids*. I can't tell you how many people I've seen who've said, They don't look like kids to me! Well, hm. what DO they look like? terrorists? swarthy ayrabs? nameless faceless thugs?

When we can all look at the kids in back of her with the same humanity that she is--that they are deserving of life, that they are KIDS, that THEY don't have guns and aren't shooting at these officers--whatever steps it takes to get to the point that we can all finally SEE that--those steps are all a part of standing in front of those guns. And they are necessary and important steps, that we need to do not just for the kids in back of her, but for her--so that SHE doesn't have to stand in front of guns, risking her life.

but it all depends on our ability, on our willingness to step toward radical love--

That's...incredible. My god.

That woman has *huge* steel ovaries. You're right--that's radical love in action. That's relentless humanness.

I hope the rest of us can learn from that example. This floored me.
