Celebrating Solstice: The Day that Brings the Light
Maybe the point is to use the space that we have–the space that is built on privileges (because space in this world is a privilege, one that you must buy, no matter if it is a metaphysical space or a physical space) to contemplate. To bake a loaf of bread and think things through as your body goes through the repetition. To run and listen to your muscles as they work energy out of them. To sleep and notice the points in your brain you never noticed before. To hear the breathing of the person next to you, to feel the energy of the soul smothered by work, poverty, violence, consumerism, religion, fear, ignorance, pain, lack of sun…to witness the world of others, to speak, to love, to grow.
This is the story of how we begin to remember…
Safety and love in a new world,
safety and love in a new world,
safety and love
safety and love
~love~
