VIDEO: Kai uploaded this amazing video about a project that centers bringing youths of color into nature. At about 2.18, I started boo hooing all over the place. What an amazing sustainable tranformational project.

I should have watched that before I put on make-up… Thank you Kai for uploading this, and thank you BFP for posting it!
Even growing up in Michigan, going camping as a child, being up north, etc., I have NEVER experienced pure wildness like this. The closest I have ever come was on family motorcycle rides, but even that is different because of being on a motorcycle and sorta looking at/admiring the wilderness still from the “outside”. Perhaps this explains why on my spirit quests and deeper dreams I am often in the wilderness of one or another sort, although I associated it with being in a different, earlier, time. This also speaks to the need to retain and conserve true wild land, to keep it pristine (and not controlled by the gov’t) for us to go to and reconnect.

This is so beautiful. I just couldn’t avoid tearing up while these children take in what we all should cherish everyday. Very poetic. I miss the mountains and fresh air. So beautiful. Thanks Kai for uploading and many thanks BFP for posting. I will be posting about this on my personal and professional blogs!
